If You Came to Our Temecula Church for the First Time on Easter, Here’s What We Want You to Know
It was great to see so many new faces at our Temecula church on Easter Sunday! We know a lot of the visitors were out-of-town family members of our regular attenders, but we also met some people from Temecula who decided to try out Sunridge for the first time on Easter.
Easter is certainly a great time to visit a new church. It is a joyous day for believers, as we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus! But in reality, we celebrate our risen Lord every Sunday when we gather together—as we sing songs of worship, when we take communion, when our pastors teach from the Bible, when we baptize people, and when we pray in Jesus’ name.
If you’re looking for a church where you can learn more about Jesus and what it means to follow Him, we would love to invite you back to Sunridge Church next Sunday—and every Sunday after that! Our motto here is “Helping People Find and Follow Jesus,” and we take it seriously. No matter where you are in your relationship with Jesus, it is our desire to help you grow in that relationship. We have people in our church who have been Christians for decades, as well as those who are just beginning to explore a life of faith. There is a place here for everyone, and we are all still growing in our walk with Jesus.
We always do our best to be on the lookout for new people and to make sure they feel welcomed—especially on Easter Sunday—but we know we are not perfect at this. If you visited on Easter and no one reached out to tell you they were glad you were there and to invite you back, we hope you will still come back! In a church our size it’s not always easy to spot newcomers, although we do try. You are also welcome to introduce yourself to any of our pastors or leaders at any time. We really would love to meet you!
Another great way to learn more about Sunridge and meet some of the people leading the church is to attend a Welcome to Sunridge luncheon. These events are typically held on the first Sunday of the month, right after the service ends. It includes a free lunch and gives you a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have. It’s a very casual gathering designed just for people like you who are new to our Temecula church.
While we love to see new faces on Easter Sunday, we love it even more when those new faces become regular faces at our church! We know it can take a while before a new church feels like “home,” but it can happen a lot faster when you dive in and get involved in the life of the church. We encourage you to join a group or a Bible study, or to attend an event outside of Sunday service. It’s there that you’ll get to know others in the church body and start to really feel like Sunridge is YOUR church!
