Getting to know women and helping them grow in their relationship with Jesus is something I am passionate about so being Women’s Ministry Director here at Sunridge really is my dream job. Creating places and events so women can connect with one another and discover God’s purpose and plan for their lives brings me so much joy! I also love to laugh and just hang out with my friends and family. I am married to a wonderful man, and we have a 21-year-old son and 20-year-old daughter. Because our kids are more or less independent, we also have four dogs that are more spoiled than they should be! I enjoy running, cooking, having long talks in coffee shops, and riding beach cruisers along any of our beautiful Southern California beaches!
We are so thrilled to be living out our ministry calling here in the Temecula Valley! Anthony and I are passionate about serving, giving, hosting, and being a part of a Christ-centered community.
Before beginning my time here at Sunridge, I had the opportunity to be the High School Ministries Associate at Friends Church in Yorba Linda where I grew up. I served in Youth Ministry, and was able to gain valuable ministry experience under my mentors at Friends. God used my time volunteering – prior to going on staff – to create in me a love for teamwork, creativity, organization, and interestingly enough, MAKING MESSES (the bigger the mess, the bigger the fun)!
Working in Children’s Ministry has been exciting, stretching, and so much fun. I have loved getting to watch the kids in our ministry get to know and love Jesus as they learn about Him! I am extremely honored to be able to share my love of Christ with our children and volunteers, as well as walk alongside the sweet, awesome families we have here!
I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay area and joined the Marine Corps in 1995. After 20 years of service, I retired from the Marine Corps and began searching for a new place to call home, and found the beautiful valley of Temecula. Along with my wife and three boys, we are now full-fledged Temeculans.
It is a blessing for me to be a part of the Sunridge team since 2020. It motivates me to see how compassionate the staff is in serving God and their community. I look forward to helping accomplish the mission of helping people find and follow Jesus any way I can.
It has been such an honor to join the staff at Sunridge and to work alongside this amazing family! I find joy in watching God’s people thrive in relationship with Him, growing in an understanding of who He is and who we are in Him. As the Rooted facilitator, I love that this study is a way for us to connect to God, His church, and our purpose.
I am a San Diego native, so the beach is my happy place! I love to read, organize, and hang out with friends and family, but my passion is being a wife and mama to my two growing kids.
My darling husband, Scott, and I are high school sweethearts and married and moved to Temecula in 1988. For many years I would think to myself what a wonderful blessing it would be to join the Sunridge team. Imagine my immense gratitude and excitement when I was offered my position. It is a privilege to grow alongside genuine believers and serve my Sunridge family of 20+ years.
My greatest joys in life include our 7 children and 5 precious granddaughters. In my free time, you can find me in the kitchen! I cherish cooking for my loved ones and gathering around the dinner table. In addition, I love to craft, bake, read and entertain family & friends.
When I was a kid, one of my cousins moved from our hometown of San Diego, 60 miles north, to a place called Temecula. I was incredibly sad because I was losing my childhood partner in crime. I was even more sad, however, when I came to visit during the next summer and experienced the terrible heat. I told my parents that I couldn’t understand why anyone would choose to live here, making a vow that I would never make that move.
Yet after graduating in Orange County from Hope International University, meeting and marrying my beautiful wife, Mallary, and working for nearly five years at Friends Church in Yorba Linda, I did the previously and personally unfathomable. In 2013, prompted by the advice from Dr. John Webb (a beloved college professor), Mal and I packed our bags with our 10-month-old son in faith that a church called Sunridge, founded to “Help people find and follow Jesus”, would be an integral part of our own lifelong journeys. I’m so glad that firmly-held perspectives can change. I love this valley (even the summer), I love our church, and I love that in these places, our family gets to learn alongside other ordinary people how to daily find and follow Jesus.
My wife Debbie and I knew Sunridge would be our church home soon after we began attending services in 1994. Now that I’ve retired from a 26-year career as a firefighter, I feel blessed and honored to serve on the Sunridge staff, and I’m trusting God to lead the way for me to serve him.
Connecting pastor is a new position for Sunridge, and we see my role ranging from attracting visitors, to welcoming those who are visiting, to helping members connect who want to be more involved in the Sunridge community. This is perfect fit for me because I love meeting new people, especially those who are searching for a relationship with God or are new to Christianity.
In my free time, I enjoy traveling with my wife and playing the bag pipes with a fire department band
I consider it a huge gift that I get to serve at Sunridge, our church home since 2000, connecting the body of Christ here with all that God is up to beyond our walls! My work centers on outreach engagement that inspires and equips the people of Sunridge with the mission of God in the world and the work of God in the wider body of Christ, both locally and globally.
I grew up travelling internationally and love few things more than exploring new places, cultures, and ideas with my husband Matthew and our three kids. You’ll probably spot me in town either on the streets running, on the sidelines cheering for my kids, or on my laptop in a coffeehouse studying for my degree at Fuller Seminary.
Sunridge has been our family’s church home since 2001. I have had the privilege of playing a part in starting the Church Counseling Ministry at Sunridge and teaching and supervising our wonderful team members. I have degrees in psychology from UCLA, Biblical Counseling and Biblical Studies from International School of Theology, and Counseling Psychology from Cal Baptist. After 20 years as a licensed therapist, I am grateful for God’s grace to bring me back to my first passion. Other activities I enjoy are hanging out with my husband watching college sports or going to plays. I also love to be active playing tennis or volleyball or hiking.
It’s such a joy to be part of the Sunridge team where people have a drive and purpose to serve Jesus and impact His people by bringing God’s hope to our communities.
I was born and raised in the Inland Empire and was one of eight children. Most of my influence comes from my Dad who taught me to be strong and independent at a young age. I’ve worked in insurance and new home sales.
Will and I have been married for 26 years, and I have been privileged to stay home and raise our two sons who now attend college. I love spending time with my family and spoiling them. We enjoy cold nights by the fire pit playing games; watching the sun come up on early morning runs; helping young people with their finances; and visiting the elderly. I look forward to traveling with my husband and seeing the world.
A native Californian, I grew up in Escondido where I eventually met the love of my life, Diane. We married in 1989 and made the big move all the way to Temecula in 1992, where we raised our two daughters. Tired of commuting to Escondido to attend church, we found Sunridge in 1996, and we knew we were hooked. So much so, that in 2006, I left my career at Callaway Golf to come on staff. I am still in shock that I get to use the practical gifts God gave me to forward the mission of Jesus at Sunridge. As the Executive Pastor of Operations, it is my desire to use the resources God gives us to share the Good News of Jesus throughout this Valley and beyond.
When time permits, I like to unwind by hiking, playing basketball, and an occasional round of golf.
We moved from Huntington Beach to this Valley in 1989. Like most people at that time, we were in search of affordable housing and good schools. That move turned out to be so much more than we ever imagined. Our family built a life here. This community became “our home town,” and Sunridge our “home church.” We’ve been at Sunridge since 1992, serving in a variety of capacities – everything from middle school volunteer to Executive Pastor. In 2014, I made a life altering decision to leave a fire service career and accept the lead pastor position at Sunridge. I have never looked back. We love this community, and we love being part of a team that is helping people find and follow Jesus.
When I’m not on campus, you’re likely to find me surfing, mountain biking, or just hanging out with friends and family. On days when all of these can happen simultaneously, I am a very happy man! Cindy and I have been married for 40 years and are fortunate to have our kids and grand kids close by.
Following the Lord's leading, Stew and I moved our family of five from the suburbs of Chicago to the beautiful Temecula Valley in 1991, embracing Sunridge as our church family in 1993. After serving our church body in many capacities, the Lord called me into short-term missions in 2000, something I had absolutely no desire to do until He undeniably put that desire within me. I have led nearly 50 international short-term trips. In doing so, I have witnessed in small and large ways the width, the depth, the height and breadth of God's immeasurable love for all mankind. It is a privilege to see His power displayed as He grabs the heart of men, women and children throughout the world. It's my absolute passion to offer to others in the body of Christ the experience of seeing God at work, both here and abroad!
While Stew and I love serving our local and global communities, we also enjoy the most sacred privilege of having our children and grandchildren living close by. We're now a family of 14 who absolutely LOVE barbecuing, playing, exploring, taking family walks, and vacationing TOGETHER, no matter how loud and crazy it may get!
I grew up in Sacramento, CA, and I moved out to Temecula in 2013 after completing a degree in Biblical Studies at Hope International University. I have a passion for serving students and helping them engage with the communities surrounding them. When I’m not at the office you can typically find me at home spending time with my wife, Nicole, and our son, Theo.
I am beyond excited to be a part of this team! I graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University (go Sea Lions!) with a Degree in Communications. I always was involved in Children’s Ministry growing up and LOVED it. I spent the last few summers working at a Christian camp with lower elementary, middle schoolers and high schoolers. It was there that I realized the love and passion that the Lord had placed in my heart for ministry and decided to move back to Temecula to pursue youth ministry.
I am thrilled to be a part of this awesome team and church. I cannot wait to see how the Lord continues to use this ministry to grow me as well as how he uses me as I get to walk alongside the students and parents in our youth ministry.
In my free time, you can usually find me doing anything outside, but most likely chilling on the beach. I also enjoy Corgis and surfing and coffee, in no particular order.
