Happy 35th Anniversary Sunridge!
When Solomon wrote Psalm 127:1, he didn’t mention Sunridge specifically, but he could have.
Unless the Lord builds a house,
They who build it labor in vain;
Unless the Lord guards a city,
The watchman stays awake in vain.
You see, this month is Sunridge’s 35 anniversary as a church. It is truly a time to celebrate! It’s not about what any one person has done (although many have done a lot); it’s a story of God’s continued faithfulness. And that got me thinking: throughout all those years, so many of us have a story (or stories) of how God used Sunridge to impact our lives. For some, it was a safe place to come and explore faith; many encountered God’s love in his son Jesus for the first time at Sunridge. For others, it was where their faith became deeply rooted; they used their gifts to serve others, and a genuine transformation began in their lives. I know that many of the children who grew up at Sunridge now serve God and share the gospel with the next generation. Even when the journey was sometimes a challenge, God was there. God was faithful. God provided. God cared. God refined us. It’s an amazing story because it’s God’s story. Truly, we did not labor in vain.
As Sunridge celebrates 35 years of helping people find and follow Jesus, would you share your story in the comments section? We’d love to hear how God used Sunridge to impact your life.

I came to Sunridge in 1993 to see what the Youth Group was teaching my daughter. I found out that I was not being fed at my church and Sunridge has been feeding my spiritual soul all these years. Sunridge saved both my daughter and I and we were both baptized at different times. Sunridge truly saved my life.

Patricia, thank you so much for sharing. What a wonderful testimony of how God works through Sunridge! (My eyes got a little leaky, and you put a lump in my throat.)
