Ways to Get More Involved at Your Temecula Church in the New Year
Happy New Year, Sunridge!
We hope you had a blessed Christmas season. It was great to see so many of you at our Christmas Eve services. It was a wonderful time of worship and such a joyous celebration of Jesus coming to earth to be our Savior!
Now that we’ve entered a new year, we’d love to encourage you to get more involved at your Temecula church—yes, YOUR church. Whether you’ve been attending Sunridge for many years or only just started attending, this is your church and you are welcome to join any of our groups, Bible studies, and events. Consider this your official invitation!
Doing something other than attending a Sunday morning service is a great way to meet more people and feel more connected at our Temecula church. January is a great time to jump into something new because a lot of our groups and studies are starting new sessions. And while you can join most of our groups at any time, if you start in January, you likely won’t be the only “newbie” in the group.
Here are some examples of groups and events that are starting up or happening in January.
Financial Peace University: On January 22nd, we are starting a new session of Financial Peace University (FPU). This 9-week series of classes offers a proven plan for getting out of debt, staying out of debt, and building wealth. Rooted in biblical principles, FPU has helped families just like yours completely change their financial circumstances!
MomCo: This group for mothers of kids ages infant through high school is starting its Spring 2026 session on January 27th. MomCo meetings include brunch, an encouraging speaker, and a chance to meet and connect with other moms in the same season of life. It meets the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month. Childcare is provided for kindergarten-aged children and younger.
Men’s Quarterly Breakfast: Once a quarter, our Temecula church hosts a breakfast on our campus where men can be encouraged in their faith, connect with one another, and enjoy a delicious breakfast together. The next one is on January 10th and we would love to see you there!
Youth Group Meetings and Winter Camps: If you have middle schoolers or high schoolers, our mid-week gatherings are starting back up again in January. Quest, our middle school ministry, meets on Tuesday nights, and Epic, our high school ministry, meets on Wednesday nights. In addition, there are upcoming winter camps for 4th/5th graders, middle schoolers, and high schoolers. See one of the leaders in your student’s age group for more details.
Growth Groups: If gathering in a home for fellowship sounds like something you would enjoy, you can join one of our Growth Groups. There are multiple groups, held on different weeknights, in homes throughout the Temecula Valley.
Serve Teams: One of the best ways to forge connections in your Temecula church is to serve alongside your fellow believers in Christ! There are so many ways to serve at Sunridge—in children’s and youth ministry, in worship and tech arts, as an usher, in hospitality, and in countless other ways. Let someone in leadership know how you would like to serve and we will be sure to get you plugged in!
This isn’t even an exhaustive list of everything that is available at Sunridge for people who want to get more involved at our church! Watch your email for more announcements about upcoming events or new groups that are starting up.
