Throwing Open the Doors at Our Temecula Church
At Sunridge, our doors are always open to anyone in the community who wants to join us—no special invitation needed! However, we know that some people can feel a bit intimidated about showing up on a Sunday morning for one of our weekly church services. Maybe it’s because they’ve never stepped foot in a church before, and the only things they know about church are what they’ve seen in movies or heard from others. Or perhaps it’s because it’s been a long time since they attended a church service, and their last experience wasn’t particularly pleasant. Even for people who have gone to church their entire lives, showing up at a new church for the first time can be nerve-racking, especially when they don’t know anyone or much about the church itself.
We understand that not everyone is quite ready to attend a Sunday morning service, which is why we occasionally host events on our campus that feel a bit more approachable than a typical church service. Our Trunk or Treat event is a perfect example.
Every year, at the end of October, we open the Sunridge campus for a casual, fun night out for families. This year, it will be held on Sunday, October 25th. The event is always well attended by our regular churchgoers, but many families from the surrounding community also join us. People invite their friends and neighbors, and many return year after year. While these families are absolutely welcome on our campus for Sunday services, group meetings, and other events, Trunk or Treat is the one event where we see the most visitors.
Trunk or Treat is an opportunity to show our community the type of church we are—one that is welcoming, friendly, and always ready to show the love of Jesus!
Get Involved with Trunk or Treat
If you’re already a regular attendee at Sunridge, we encourage you to get involved with Trunk or Treat in some way. You can decorate your car’s trunk in a (non-scary) theme of your choosing and hand out candy. You can also volunteer to help with carnival games or monitor a bounce house. We also need help with set-up, tear-down, and preparation in the days leading up to the event. And we can always use donations of candy or stuffed toys.
There are plenty of ways to participate, and every contribution helps make the event a fun and welcoming experience for families in our community.
Everyone Is Welcome at Our Temecula Church
If you aren’t yet a part of our Temecula church, we invite you to come and enjoy yourself! The event is completely free to attend, making it an easy way to spend time with your family while getting to know the people at Sunridge in a relaxed, welcoming environment.
We open the event at 5:30 p.m. for families with special needs. At 6:15 p.m., it opens to everyone.
Whether you’ve been attending Sunridge for years or have never visited our church before, we’d love to have you join us. Trunk or Treat is a great opportunity to meet new people, enjoy some family-friendly fun, and experience the welcoming community we strive to build at Sunridge.
We hope to see you there!
