How We Welcome Visitors to Our Temecula Church
If you’re considering attending a Sunday morning service or one of our church events, you might be wondering what it’s like to be a visitor at Sunridge. Will you feel out of place? Will it be obvious how to get around the church campus? What will be expected of you?
Here at Sunridge Church, we have gone to great lengths to make sure visitors just like you feel welcome! We start by putting people in place to greet you as you first come through our doors. If you have any questions about where to go or where your kids should go, you can ask them, and they will direct you to the right place.
Speaking of kids, if you want to keep your kids with you as you attend our main service, you are welcome to do so. However, we also have special classrooms for children of all ages—from babies through 5th graders. All the volunteers in our childcare areas are background checked and trained, and they are ready to help your kids have a great time while they’re there!
In our main service, you can either be an active participant or a casual observer—whatever feels most comfortable to you. We promise we won’t ask you to stand up and introduce yourself or do anything to call you out in any way! After the service is over, you are welcome to come to the front and speak with one of our pastors or volunteers and have them pray for you. You are also encouraged to linger after the service. Grab a cup of coffee and get to know some of the people who call Sunridge their home church.
Once a month, we have a “Welcome to Sunridge” meeting for new people after the main Sunday service. At this casual get-together, you will be introduced to some of our pastors and leaders, and you’ll learn more about our church’s mission and vision. This is a great forum to ask any questions you may have about Sunridge. You can also meet some other people who are new to the church.
At Sunridge, there is no expectation for you to adhere to a certain set of beliefs before you can visit, or even regularly attend, our church. In fact, we often say that you are welcome to “belong before you believe.” By this, we mean that you can fully participate in the activities and life of our Temecula church, even if you don’t have a professing faith in Jesus Christ. Of course, our hope is that as you learn more about Jesus and His love for you, you will want to put your faith in Him, but we don’t require you to do, say, or believe anything to be a part of our church.
If you’re exploring what it means to be a Christian, or simply curious about what Sunridge Church is like, you are always welcome here!
