In addition to the Sunday teachings, we invite you to join us in a church-wide collective discussion centered on the new curriculum, “The After Party”. We will meet on Sunday evenings from 5:30 – 7:30 pm at Sunridge in the MPR. The meetings begin Sunday, April 28, and conclude June 9, skipping Mother’s Day, May 12. Our first meeting, April 28, will begin at 5pm and dinner will be provided.
“The After Party” features teaching from Dr. Russell Moore, David French, and Curtis Chang. The series is designed for people who know there’s a better way to “do politics”. Through the 6 part video-driven course, you will be better equipped and encouraged to do the hard work of engaging across differences, reframing political identity in light of the Gospel’s promises, and focusing hearts and minds on the “how” of relating to each other before the “what” of political opinions.
Your Hosts for The After Party
David French: An author and former fellow of the National Review Institute. French graduated from Harvard Law School and has spent most of his career arguing for religious rights issues. He is the senior editor of “The Dispatch”, an opinion columnist for the New York Times.
Russell Moore: An author and former lead for the public policy arm of the Southern Baptist Convention who currently serves as editor-in-chief of Christianity Today’s public theology project.
Curtis Chang: A former pastor, author, consulting professor at Duke Divinity School, and Senior Fellow at Fuller Theological Seminary.
A stipend of $120 for childcare is available following the conclusion of the series. Forms will be available to apply for this stipend at the meetings.
