First Night: An Evening Celebration of Advent
Sunday, November 27 marks the first day of Advent this year. Advent, the four weeks before Christmas, is a time of waiting and preparation, of anticipation and hopefulness. We wait for Christ to come, asking him to “stay with us.”
Mark your calendars for our Sunridge Advent tradition, “First Night!”
On the evening of November 27, we will gather from 5:30-7:30pm to celebrate the start of the Advent season with a soup and bread potluck, a Christmas-inspired worship night, and Scripture reading.
Bring an ornament that represents you or your family to hang for the entire season on the big Sunridge Christmas tree at the atrium entrance. This is also where you will receive your $5 “Stay With Us, Jesus” daily Advent candle that will coordinate with scripture readings for the month of December!
