Recommendation 1: Enter a season of prayer and fasting, and repent of the ways Sunridge has replaced the glory of God with selfish desires.
Recommendation 2: Prepare for and carefully plan [times] where the church comes together as a whole to reaffirm your commitment to Jesus Christ and His purposes.
Recommendation 3: Use an Intentional Interim Pastor (IIP) to help you navigate these issues and take these things seriously before you call a permanent pastor.
Recommendation 4: Make a commitment before the Lord to deal honestly, truthfully, sensitively, and decisively with conflict.
Recommendation 5: Learn and grow in the art of peacemaking.
Recommendation 6: Develop emotionally healthy spiritual lives and relational skills.
Recommendation 7: Strengthen the confidence in leadership.
Recommendation 8: Consider overhauling the current Constitution/Bylaws and Governance structure.
Recommendation 9: Develop clear job descriptions with specific goals and objectives for all staff and ministry leaders.
Recommendation 10: Evaluate all staff on their skill in developing others for ministry (i.e., equipping – Eph 4:12) and empowering them to do it.
Recommendation 11: Implement a plan for regular lay leadership development and deployment.
Recommendation 12: Enter into multiple seasons of prayer and fasting to seek the face of God
Recommendation 13: Through a series of all-church summits enter a time of re-visioning (or refocusing) where you rediscover and discern God’s values, mission, and vision for Sunridge.
Recommendation 14: Clarify your theological and doctrinal statement and its implications for your church.
Recommendation 15: Let your love for Christ drive your passion and action for evangelism.
Recommendation 16: Decide how the gospel message, and the deep spiritual truths of Scripture, are to be incorporated into the life of your church.
Recommendation 17: Rethink ways to gain greater ownership from congregants into the life of the church.
