Linda and I are deeply honored and humbled to have been able to serve Sunridge over the last 17-months. We are excited to hear about how God will use Sunridge in the days ahead. And thank you for the warm and thoughtful send off! It was certainly bittersweet for us.
Following is the prayer Linda prayed for you and the conclusion of the Sunday services…
Dearest Father,
May the faithfulness with which You have led us give us confidence that You have prepared us for this next season of fruitful ministry. You have searched our hearts, answered prayers for healing through confession, repentance, and reconciliation. You have strengthened our foundation.
By the power and kind discipline of Your grace, Holy Spirit, continue to grow us up in the wisdom and love of God. Increase our capacity to honor and encourage one another, pray with and for one another, forgive one another, and to speak and hear the truth in love.
Refresh the souls of the elders, staff, ministry leaders, transition team, search team, management team, and volunteers who have all pressed forward during this time of transition.
And, bless the friends and families who have sacrificed behind the scenes to support them.
We are grateful for Your work among us and receive our new pastor, Britt, and his wife, Cindy, with joy. May they wear Your yoke, Lord Jesus, and not the yoke of our expectations.
Now may the goodness and grace of God bestowed on us through Jesus Christ be evident in the Sunridge community both in word and in deed as we find and follow Jesus together.
Our hearts are Yours, Father, as we pray in Jesus’ name. AMEN
