Jesus proclaimed the Kingdom of God. In fact, He spent a majority of His time on earth talking about it. Beginning with the creation of the heavens and the earth and the fall of humanity, Scripture tells of Yahweh, the Covenant, Creator God, calling a people, the nation Israel, to Himself and walking with them through the ups and downs, the faith and idolatry of His people, always promising that one day, He would come to restore His creation and establish His King and His everlasting Kingdom. Jesus claimed He was the fulfillment of that story, He was the King that was to come, and He was launching the Kingdom of God that the nation Israel had been waiting for. He insisted that the Scripture, the story of God’s love for His creation and His “image-bearing” children, had been pointing to Him all along. If you have a desire to engage with God’s kingdom story and watch it unfold from Genesis to Revelation, from Kingdom to Kingdom, join us for this 8-week Zoom Bible study beginning on Thursday, January 21 from 9:30-11:00.
