Held, Learning to Live in God’s Grip
Thursday Nights: 9/20 to 11/15 (every other week) 6:30-8:30 PM
Location: Room 204
On November 16, 2010, Lee and Sandra’s lives changed with just a short sentence from a child psychologist, “We believe your son has autism.” In that moment, so much changed … but what didn’t change was that God still held the Peoples family; they were never out of His grip. In this Bible study written for special-needs parents by special-needs parents, you will learn that you are not alone. Even when life feels out of control, it will help you remember He is in control. You will learn there is a future hope we all can cling to. You will learn there are others out there, just like you, who need to be shown they are also in the grip of God.

The Road to Emmaus: Discovering Jesus in the Old Testament
Thursday Nights: 9/13 to 11/1 (8 weeks) 6:30pm-8:30pm
Location: Room 204
Have you ever felt frustrated, confused, or down right intimidated by the Old Testament and how it relates to Jesus? If so, you’re not alone. Jesus’ own disciples had difficulty as well. In a story recorded in the Gospel of Luke, Jesus interprets the Scriptures for two of His disciples as they walked on the road to Emmaus (a city just outside Jerusalem). He opened their minds and hearts to understand how the Old Testament scriptures point to Him. In this study, we will walk the same road and allow Jesus to show us the big picture of God’s plan and how Jesus has been at the heart of it from the very beginning.
