Sunridge has always valued the importance of gathering as a church body (Hebrews 10:25) and throughout the pandemic we found creative, and safe ways to build community: Online services, Zoom groups, KidVids, The Rally, on-campus services (when allowed), and outdoor events like The Week (Vacation Bible School), Movie Nights, and Worship Nights.
On September 22, when Riverside County was moved to the “red” tier, it meant that churches could meet indoors on-campus. Of course Sunridge took full advantage of this by meeting on-campus at 9 and 10:30. As we expected, on October 20 Riverside County returned to the purple (the most stringent) tier eliminating the option to meet indoors. That is why instead of continuing under the constant uncertainty created by the COVID-19 virus and the restrictions on gathering, Sunridge began meeting outdoors on a regular basis starting October 18 at 10:30 AM.
We are so thankful that this option is now possible due to the change in the weather and the completion of our new and improved courtyard area. Since these services are outdoors, we ask that you prepare accordingly. You may want to consider bringing: lawn chairs, water, EZ Ups, umbrellas, well you get the idea. We are looking forward to worshipping with you – in person and on campus!
