The purpose of Celebrate Recovery is to help us heal from our hurts, habits, and hang-ups. The meeting format is similar to 12-step programs with an emphasis on Jesus Christ as the source of our healing. This experience allows us to "be changed." We open the door by sharing our experiences, strengths and hopes with one another. In addition, as we become willing to accept God's grace in solving our hurts, habits, and hang-ups, we begin to grow spiritually. We start to become free from our addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors. This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy and a stronger personal relationship with God and others. As we progress through the program we discover our personal, loving and forgiving Higher Power—Jesus Christ, the one and only true Higher Power.
Celebrate Recovery meets on the church campus every Thursday night 6:30pm -8:30pm. You may register, but there is no pre-registration or sign-ups required to attend. Just come as you are and you will be met with the love and transforming power that comes from Christ.
Childcare is provided for a small fee.

Celebrate Recovery - Sunridge facebook page
6:30-7:30 p.m. - Large Group Session. Everyone meets together in the Youth Room for a time of worship then a teaching or a testimony.
7:30-8:30 p.m. - Open Share Groups. This is the time to break into recovery- specific groups and share and hear from others with similar hurts, hang-ups and habits.
Women's Relational Co-Dependency Group - for women struggling with the compulsion to rescue and take care of others, having difficulty setting boundaries, or recognizing their own worth. Members in this group learn to express their own needs and wants in healthy ways.
Women's Addiction And Anger/ Combined Group - for women struggling with addiction and anger. What you may not recognize is that your addiction and/or anger has its foundations in other basic emotions—usually fear or pain. If the pain "of life" becomes too great, you may have developed an addiction to get relief; food, drugs, alcohol, gambling, etc. Or maybe, through the pain "of life" you have learned how to express anger inappropriately. You did not realize that when you lashed out in anger, you were ignoring your fear, pain, or another deeper hurt. Women in this group learn to focus on managing a God-given emotion in constructive ways.
Men's Chemically Dependent Group- for those who cannot quit drinking or using entirely or who have little control over the amount they consume, but honestly want to quit. You may be suffering from a problem that only a spiritual solution will conquer.
Men's Recovery From Anger Group - for men who find that anger is their first response to problems of any size. The anger may be very evident as rage or less obvious in terms of withdrawal and isolation. Members in this group learn to focus on managing a God-given emotion in constructive ways.
Men's Sexual Sin Group - for men who are seeking practical help and spiritual encouragement with issues of sexual sin. Christ-centered support for men seeking recovery from lust and compulsive sexual behaviors. The cornerstone for our recovery is the power and love of Jesus Christ. It is built upon the fellowship of the group, having a safe place to share our struggles, pain, and victories, with the accountability and the mutual support of the group throughout the week.
