Adopt-A-Chaplain

What is Adopt-A-Chaplain?

Adopt-A-Chaplain is a Christ-centered ministry—the only national charity that exclusively serves deployed chaplains. Our goal: to provide prayer and spiritual support for the chaplains themselves and to provide tangible support that will enable them to more effectively minister to the soldiers they serve.

As a member of Sunridge's Adopt-A-Chaplain Support Group you are given all of the contact information for "your" chaplain. You will receive a weekly email newsletter from Adopt-A-Chaplain as well as any information received from our chaplain while he is deployed. You will become personally involved in the chaplain's ministry and find out first hand what will be most helpful to that chaplain.

Our current chaplain is Stanton D. Trotter, US Army with 82nd CAB (Combat Aviation Battalion) serving in Afghanistan.

Agape/Youth Fund Recycling

Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers. Galatians 6:10

The Recycling Fund Volunteer Group will serve together to raise money for Sunridge's Agape Fund, Youth Ministry, Block 45, Quest and Epic through the recycling of items with a cash value. Volunteers will be asked to serve once monthly to help gather, store and then transport to the recycling center the following week. It is my goal to develop 4 teams that can serve together (one team per week). Volunteers will need a willingness to serve and access to a large vehicle, Suburban, Expedition, Pick up truck that can accept donations before and after service on Sunday. The items will then need to be stored until the following Saturday when they can be recycled. We take collections on the North edge of the church parking lot on Sunday mornings 8:30am - 12:00pm. We redeem the recyclables on Saturdays, 10:00-11:00am at the Redemption Center on Diaz Road.

The Agape Fund is used to help individuals and families in need. There are many ways to serve and help. Come and join us!

There are many opportunities to serve within the Daily Bread Ministry: bread pick-up on Saturdays at 3:00pm; set-up on Sunday mornings, and serving on Sunday, just to name a few. Come join us as we help meet practical needs in our valley!
