Sunridge is a community of imperfect people who have found hope in the person of God. So if you're frustrated by the gap between who you are and who you want to be, you'll fit here. Whether you're decades into your faith journey or are just beginning to think about spiritual matters - we've created environments to help you further embrace God's message of hope.

Sunridge is a community of authentic people who have found a home living, working and playing together in the Temecula Valley. So if you are new to the area or are simply looking for a new home for your life's relationships - there's a place for you here.
The story begins in early 1988 when six couples, led by pastor Randy Wikert, moved south from Orange County to the Temecula Valley with the dream of planting a church whose fruitfulness could be explained by nothing other than the supernatural power of God.
After only a few months, Sunridge Community Church held its first public worship service at Sparkman Elementary School. As Sunridge continued to grow additional staff members were needed, and in 1995 Greg Sidders was hired from Emmanuel Faith Community Church in Escondido as the senior pastor.
After outgrowing several facilities, Sunridge began to search for a permanent home. In 2002 six acres of land were acquired along with a 76,000 sq. ft. building on Winchester Road. In May of 2003 the conversion from a steel factory to a church was completed and Sunridge moved into its new home.
In 2005 Sunridge began a challenging chapter of its story, as differences over philosophy of ministry ultimately resulted in a new church comprised of previous Sunridge members, staff, and elders being established in the valley in early 2006. This chapter, though challenging, only strengthened Sunridge's passionate commitment to Helping People Find and Follow Jesus.
In November 2009 after 14 years of loving service, Senior Pastor Greg Sidders completed his journey with Sunridge by tendering his resignation. The elders asked Britt Sipe, a part-time pastor/elder and full-time firefighter, if he would assume the role as interim lead pastor. A Pastoral Search Committee was formed and the search for a new lead pastor began.

During Britt’s time as interim pastor, Sunridge experienced a renewed sense of ownership among its congregants as well as reconciliation with the Elders and Church that had left Sunridge in 2006.
In June 2010, after a passionate evaluation of more than one hundred lead pastor candidates, the elders selected Josh Clark as the new lead pastor of Sunridge Community Church. By August, Josh and his wife Heidi had moved their young family of six from Atlanta, Georgia to Southern California to play their part in the next chapter of the Sunridge story.
With a renewed vision and people passionate about their love for God and others, Sunridge is entering the most exciting chapter of its story yet.
So whether you're thinking about spiritual matters for the first time, coming back to God, or wanting to be part of something much bigger than yourself, we invite you to join us for the next chapter God is writing at Sunridge.
